LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) – The victim in the city of Little Rock's first homicide of 2018 has been identified.

On Monday afternoon, officers with the Little Rock Police Department were dispatched to East View Terrace Apartments at 1224 Geyer Street in reference to a shooting that had just occurred.

18-year-old Antwan Anderson of Little Rock was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital and pronounced dead.

Detectives found numerous shell casings at the scene and witnesses said there had been several men “hanging out” in the breezeway of the apartment complex when numerous gunshots were fired. Two people fled the scene but were interviewed and released without charged pending the investigation and a file review by the prosecuting attorney.

"We have had incidents out here prior to this shooting. We've been called out here. It's been quiet here lately, but it is known to officers,” said Lt. Michael Ford with the Little Rock Police Department.

No suspect has been identified at this time. If you have any information, you are asked to contact police.

This is the first homicide of 2018 for the city of Little Rock.
