LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - It was another violent night in Little Rock with two shootings leaving two people dead. Families are left to grieve while the rest of the city is ready to see things turn around.
Just 20 minutes apart, a 30-year-old and a 14-year-old were killed in two separate shootings Monday night.
As of now, police don't have any suspects in either homicide and they say without the community coming forward with information, these cases are becoming harder to solve.
"We just need to stop the gun violence because someone really got killed that meant the world to a lot of people," said a neighbor to Loren Robinson, the first shooting victim.
Around 9:45 p.m. on Stardust Trail, police say Robinson was shot multiple times while sitting inside a car.
Witnesses say Robinson was in front of a house when the shooter walked up and shot into the vehicle. The shooter is described as a black male wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Reverend Benny Johnson stopped by Tuesday to offer his condolences to the family.
"People taking people’s lives like they God," said Johnson.
Twenty minutes later, there was another shooting on Green Mountain Drive where 14-year-old Cyncere Alexander was found on the floor inside an apartment suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
A black male, approximately 15 to 20 years old was seen leaving right after the shooting.
"Somebody knows who did this to this young man and the one who know who did it, you just as guilty as the one who pulled the trigger," said Johnson.
Chris Alexander, Cyncere's father, spoke with us over the phone and he wanted to tell the person responsible that, “They took my heart, they took my son."
"This 14-year-old was shot and murdered in the apartment complex and that’s enough to outrage everyone," said McClanahan.
Police say the two shootings are not connected. With no suspects, they are asking anyone who knows anything to please come forward even if its anonymously.
