Not long ago Country Living released a list of "40 American Towns You Haven't Heard of But Should Visit ASAP" and one small northwest Arkansas town made the list. War Eagle, an unincorporated town in Benton County made their list.
In the small blurb, County Living's Lauren Smith said that it's annual fall craft fair is a must-stop for DIY fanatics. The War Eagle Mill, built in 1832, has been destroyed and rebuilt three times but still remains a great photo opportunity for those traveling through Arkansas.
Right next to the mill is the War Eagle Bridge. The steel bridge was built in 1907 and is the only Parker truss bridge in northwest Arkansas.
The small community was also featured in a movie named after the town. War Eagle, Arkansas was written by Graham Gordy who is creator of the TV series Quarry.
If you haven't had a chance to visit the small town make sure to take a quick detour across the bridge. It doesn't even have to be fall to enjoy War Eagle.
