BALD KNOB, Ark. — According to reports, a deputy with the White County Sheriff’s Office and three state inmates were injured in an accident on August 15.
At around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, a deputy was reportedly transporting the inmates to Newport when he lost control of the vehicle on Highway 67/167 southbound near Bald Knob.
All four occupants of the vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. Officials say that the deputy suffered serious injuries and the inmates had non-life-threatening injuries.
However, everyone involved in the accident is expected to make a full recovery.
This investigation is ongoing and is being looked into by the Arkansas State Police.
