FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFSM) – A woman convicted of conning a man out of thousands of dollars by pretending to be country music star Alison Krauss is once again behind bars.
According to 5NEWS, Peggy Sue Evers, 53, was booked into the Washington County Sheriff's Office Tuesday night after being arrested in New Mexico on a warrant issued for her arrest. Apparently the warrant was issued after she skipped her scheduled court hearing back in September.
In January, she pleaded guilty to theft by deception, received eight years of probation, and was ordered to pay nearly $73,000 in restitution in addition to having to return his vehicles and signing his house deed back over to him.
