Woman pleads guilty to second degree murder of North Little Rock man

The woman accused of shooting and killing a North Little Rock man outside of an East Village body shop in November of 2016 has pleaded guilty in the case.

The woman accused of shooting and killing a North Little Rock man outside of an East Village body shop in November of 2016 has pleaded guilty in the case.

In March of 2017, Alundra Hampton was charged with murder in the robbery-gone-wrong shooting death of 47-year-old Todd Sieber. She was scheduled for trial Tuesday, but changed her plea just before court was set to begin, to avoid a capital murder charge.

Hampton will instead face up to 60 years behind bars on second degree murder, battery in the first degree, and felony in possession charges by testifying against Corey Williams Junior in his capital murder trial in September.

Williams Jr, Hampton’s getaway driver, alleged the owner of the business owed him money and formulated a plan with Hampton to rob the business owner for the cash.

During the robbery, Sieber, who was at the auto shop for work, was shot for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hampton and Williams got away and weren't identified until after we did a story with Cynthia Sieber, Todd's widow, who announced a reward increase and begged for justice. A witness came forward and told police they heard the two suspects discussing the shooting and how "no one was supposed to get hurt." Hampton and Williams were then charged with murder.

Williams did not pull the trigger, but according to court officials, was the conspirator. The point of the plea was to get him to testify against Hampton come September.
