Homicide investigation at Wilmington Apartments leads to suspect arrest

On Thursday, May 16 at 2:33 p.m., officers with the North Little Rock Police Department responded to Donovan Briley (Wilmington Apartments) in reference to a male subject who had been shot.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Thursday, May 16 at 2:33 p.m., officers with the North Little Rock Police Department responded to Donovan Briley (Wilmington Apartments) in reference to a male subject who had been shot. 

When officers arrived on scene they learned that a male victim had been placed into a private vehicle and transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital. 

The victim died a short time later from his injuries, and has been identified as Tilton McDonald.

Detectives with the North Little Rock Police Department have arrested and charged Duncan James McBeth III for his involvement in the shooting death of McDonald. 

McBeth was charged with Murder in the First Degree after he confessed to shooting McDonald multiple times during an incident in front of the apartment. 

He is currently being held without bond at the Pulaski County Jail and will appear in North Little Rock District Court on May 21 at 9 a.m.
