LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Two positions on the Little Rock Board of Directors will be decided on Election Day.
The race for Position 9 is between incumbent Director Antwan Phillips and Jordan Thomas while Position 10 is between incumbent Director Joan Adcock and Blake Tierney.
The at-large position on the city board are elected by the entire city whereas other directors serve specific wards.
Below you will find the latest vote totals and any statements by the campaigns. These are preliminary results and the article will be updated when the votes are finalized.
Position 9
Incumbent Director Antwan Phillips faced off against challenger Jordan Thomas for Position 9 on the city board.
Phillips currently leads with 67% of the votes while Thomas has 33% of the vote.
Phillips was first elected to the board in 2020 and is a Little Rock native. In addition to serving on the board, he serves as commissioner on the city's Advertising and Promotion Commission and chair of the Downtown Density Committee.
Position 10
The race for Position 10 has been decidedly more high profile as challenger Blake Tierney is hoping to unseat Joan Adcock, the longest serving director on the Little Rock board.
Adcock currently leads with 52% of the votes while Tierney has 48% of the vote. There are still more votes to be counted as officials work through the ballots.
Adcock was first elected to the board in 1992 and Tierney focused his campaign on bringing a fresh approach to city policies.
