LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Republican Congressman Rick Crawford has been re-elected to serve the people of the First Congressional District in Arkansas.
Crawford beat his opponents Rodney Govens and Steven Parsons gathering 72% of the votes.
Crawford has represented the district since 2011 and currently serves on four committees. He is a part of the Committee on Agriculture, Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
He is a steadfast supporter of Donald Trump and was the only Arkansas legislator on Jan. 7, 2021, to object to President Joe Biden's victory.
The First Congressional District serves the eastern part of Arkansas and some northern counties.
In the past, Crawford said his efforts in Congress include securing the border. He also hopes that if Republicans regain control of the House and Senate, that it would lead to conservatives making "change that strengthens our nation and protects us from crime and terrorism."
