LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Although a rematch between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden has long been expected, here is who won the Democratic and Republican presidential primary elections in Arkansas.
Arkansas will be one of fifteen states and American Samoa who will vote in the 2024 primary elections on Super Tuesday.
Forty delegates are up for grabs for Republicans in the state while Democrats are vying for 31 delegates.
Below you will find who won the GOP and Democratic primaries in Arkansas. We will update this article when one or both races have been called.
Republican
The Associated Press called the Republican presidential primary for Donald Trump at 8:02 p.m.
This is the third straight presidential primary where Trump received the most votes. In 2020, he won the Republican primary with 97% of the votes and in 2016 he finished just ahead of Ted Cruz with roughly 32% of the votes cast.
Democratic
President Joe Biden has won the state's Democratic presidential primary, according to the Associated Press. The race was called at 7:43 p.m.
In 2020, Biden won the state's Democratic presidential primary garnering around 40% of the vote.
