PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, Ark. — 45-year-old Mark Peacock was found hanging in his cell by a deputy conducting a routine security check on Tuesday evening in the detention facility, officials said.
After the deputy attempted life-saving measures, Peacock was pronounced dead at 5:40 p.m.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is required to investigate all deaths that take place within the detention facility.
According to PCSO, this is the first suicide to take place within the facility since 2016.
