MAYFLOWER, Ark. — Most hotels and Airbnbs around central Arkansas were booked months ago by people looking for a great spot to experience the total solar eclipse on April 8.
The high demand has created struggles for people waiting to find a place, and one farm in Mayflower hopes to alleviate some of that stress.
The Stone Hill Ranch, located off Highway 365, still has space for campers and RVs to park and watch the total solar eclipse.
They've used the land for years for events like hosting chuckwagon races and live bands.
"A country atmosphere with an open sky for this eclipse," Stone Hill Ranch Owner Rusty Waters said. "Should be a good time. We are playing inside the venue here with stages, lights and sound."
Fifty aces of the field can be rented, and they'll have solar eclipse glasses available.
In addition, they will have Mary Beth Byrd, a contestant on The Voice and American Idol, singing on the night of April 7.
