PINE BLUFF, Ark. (KTHV) - Pine Bluff Head Coach Bobby Bolding is no stranger to the game of football.

"It's a little different creature then it was 20 years ago".

The Pine Bluff head coach has football in his DNA and following the 2014 season, a state championship to go along with it. The Zebras routed Benton 51-10 in the 6A championship game to capture their first title in 19 years.

Quarterback Ladarius Skelton leaves no slack for the rest of the 6A. The 2014 title game MVP tossed for over 18 hundred yards and 25 touchdowns last year.

"I think we have the best offense in the state. They're very talented too. So I think if we can stop them we can stop anybody in the state." says defensive end John Tate.

The 3-star has 11 division one offers. But his main focus now is bringing a title back to the bluff.

"I'm going to wait until I'm really ready because I want to be loyal to that team. So when I commit to a team I really commit to that team and stay loyal so that's what I'm trying to do."

While Tate's college decision still waivers, his coaches commitment to excellence does not. And while you may be a high profile recruit he has no reservations about putting a player in his place.

"People work harder in practice and that gives them a little motivation to perform well on Friday nights or they can find their tails on the sidelines."
