Arkansas takes down Georgia 78-75

This is the 7th straight win over the Bulldogs in Fayetteville.

FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas — On Saturday, the Razorback men's basketball team took down Georgia 78-75 for Arkansas's third SEC win of the season.

The Hogs are now 3-7 in the SEC and 12-11 overall.

The first half was all Hogs, as Arkansas led 34-29 to close out the first portion of the game.

However, the Georgia Bulldogs crawled back and made it mostly a one-possession game for the final nine minutes.

The last few minutes of the game went down to the wire. With 1:18 left to go, Georgia's Justin Hill tied it up with a bucket in the paint. However, Makhi Mitchell responded with a layup to put Arkansas up 74-72.

Sinking free throws in the final seconds were crucial for Arkansas. The Hogs made four free throws in the last 25 seconds of the game.

El Ellis led the Razorbacks with 15 points and five rebounds.

Arkansas shot at 57% from the field compared to Georgia's 48%. The Razorbacks also shot at 36% from three compared to Georgia's 22%.

This game was also the first back with Devo Davis since he took a step away from the team in late January. The Jacksonville native missed the last two games for the Hogs.

In Saturday's game, Davis added four points, four rebounds, and three assists.

Up next the Razorbacks will host Tennessee on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m.

The game will be aired on ESPN2.
