SPRINGDALE, Ark — Former Arkansas wide receiver, Drew Morgan, announced Monday that he was retiring from football.

In a message posted to his Twitter account, Morgan said that, "This has been the most difficult decision of my life up to this point." He added, "I have decided to do what's best for me and my family, and move on from the craziness of football."

In three seasons, Morgan caught 138 passes for 1763 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Morgan went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, and signed with the Miami Dolphins as a free agent on May 5 of that year. He was cut by the Dolphins on September 3, 2017 before being signed to the practice squad. Morgan was then signed to a reserve/future contract in January of 2018 before being waived and then cut in September.

Morgan's younger brother, Grant, is currently a junior linebacker for the Razorbacks.
