Little Rock Central downs Bryant to win Class 6A state title

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Class 6A runs through Little Rock as Little Rock Central took care of business and defeated Bryant 63-55 to capture the state championship on Friday at Bank OZK Arena in Hot Springs.

Daniel Culberson scored a team-high 16 points for the Tigers, who had four players finish in double figures. Annor Boateng finished with 14 points and a game-high 10 rebounds, while Luke Moore added 15 points and Chris Washington had 11.

No team led by more than nine points as the game went down to the wire. Kelle Robinson, who led Byant with 24 points, knocked down a pair of free throws to give the Hornets a 51-49 lead with 3:59 remaining in the game.

But Little Rock Central fought back and scored seven unanswered points to build a five-point lead with 1:41 on the clock.
