Little Rock Christian secures second consecutive state title with win over Farmington

Landren Blocker led the Warriors with 21 points and 11 rebounds as Little Rock Christian defeated Farmington to secure back-to-back Class 4A state titles.

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Little Rock Christian secured its second consecutive Class 4A boys basketball state championship after blowing past Farmington 71-56 at Bank OZA Arena in Hot Springs on Thursday.

Landren Blocker led the Warriors with 21 points on 8 of 12 (66%) shooting from the field and 11 rebounds. JJ Andrews added 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists, while Jameel Wesley finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

Andrews was named state title game MVP for his efforts.

Little Rock Christian led 36-22 at the half and pushed its lead to 21 points after a dunk by Andrews with 5:41 to play in the third quarter.

Layne Taylor scored a game-high 40 points for Farmington, who only had four players find the scoring column.
