FAYETTEVILLE, Ark — It's official. Former Arkansas pitcher, Isaiah Campbell, has signed with the Seattle Mariners. Campbell announced the signing on his Instagram Saturday, along with the caption "A childhood dream became a reality yesterday. Officially a member of the Seattle Mariners organization."
Campbell, who went 12-1 with a 2.13 ERA in his redshirt junior at Arkansas this year, was selected by the Mariners with the 76th overall pick in the second-round of the MLB Draft earlier this month.
In three NCAA Tournament starts, Campbell pitched 23 1/3 innings, allowed 3 runs and had 25 strikeouts to 4 walks.
Campbell signed with the Seattle Mariners for $850,000, according to MLB.com.
