Mary Dunleavy

Mary Dunleavy joined THV11 as a Sports Anchor in April 2014.

Though she is far from her hometown of Fairfax Station, Virginia, Mary cannot be more excited to soak in all of Arkansas sports and call the Natural State home. Her broadcast journalism career started at Virginia Tech where she graduated with a bachelors degree in Communication - Electronic and Print Journalism.

Mary comes to THV11 from NBC29 in Charlottesville (VA) where she gained experience covering a variety of athletics - from professional teams the Redskins and Nationals, to collegiate ACC sports, and local high school teams.

Prior to being at NBC29, Mary worked behind the scenes in New York City at Original Media, TLC, ESPN, and Bloomberg The Global Business Network.

During her internship at NBC Sports in Washington DC, Mary was fortunate to work with sportscasters Lindsay Czarniack (now at ESPN), Dan Hellie (now at NFL Network), and Hakem Dermish (now at ESPN.)

Always enjoying any sporting event she is at, Mary tries to make reporting fun and interesting - so don't be surprised if you see her soaring from the top of a cheerleader stunt during football season.

As a Northern Virginia native, no matter their record, Mary is a Skins fan.
