FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas pitcher Will McEntire will return for his sixth season, the Bryant native announced Wednesday.

McEntire redshirted as a sophomore in 2021 and will use his additional year of eligibility from the 2020 pandemic shutdown to play next season.

In March 2020, the NCAA Division I Council voted to allow schools to provide spring-sport student-athletes an additional season of competition and an extension of their eligibility period for those affected by the COVID-19-shortened 2020 spring season.

The Razorback right-handed pitcher appeared in 30 games this past season and finished with a 5-0 record, 4.83 ERA and 65 strikeouts, while his usage decreased from a team-leading 87 innings in 2023 to just 54 innings.
