Arkansas to face Miami in 2nd annual SEC/ACC Challenge

Arkansas and Miami will meet for only the second time when the Razorbacks travel to Coral Gables, Fla., for the annual SEC/ACC Challenge.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. β€” Arkansas and head coach John Calipari will travel to Miami for the second annual SEC/ACC Challenge, ESPN announced on Wednesday.

The Razorbacks will face the Hurricanes on Dec. 3 at the Watsco Center in Coral Gables, Fla. A tip-off time and network designation will be announced later.

Arkansas and Miami have met only once, with the sixth-seeded Hurricanes defeating the 11th-seeded Hogs 75-71 in the first round of the 2000 NCAA Tournament.

Last season, Calipari led the 12th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats to a 95-73 victory over No. 8 Miami in the SEC/ACC Challenge. At the same time, Arkansas upset No. 7 Duke in front of a record crowd 20,334 at Bud Walton Arena.

Trevon Brazile, who's returning for his third season as a Hog, scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds with two blocked shots to lead the Razorbacks to victory. He was later named SEC Player of the Week for his effort.

Thanks to wins by Arkansas and Calipari, the SEC and ACC tied, 7-7, in the inaugural challenge.
