Arkansas baseball to host NCAA Fayetteville Regional

The Diamond Hogs will play Southeast Missouri State on Friday.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Over the course of the Memorial Day weekend, the Razorback baseball team found out that they will be hosting the NCAA Fayetteville Regional.

The Hogs are the top seed in the Regional, but the other teams that'll be in Fayetteville this upcoming weekend include #2 Louisiana Tech, #3 Kansas State, and #4 Southeast Missouri.

The Fayetteville Regional will be a double-elimination format. On Friday, Arkansas will first play the Southeast Missouri Redhawks, the Ohio Valley Conference Champions.

Arkansas is a #5 national seed, and this is the 11th time that Arkansas will host a regional.

The winner of the Fayetteville Regional will play the winner of the Charlottesville Regional in a best-of-three series in a Super Regional that will be held on either June 7-9 or June 8-10.

Since Arkansas is at a No.5 seed, they will host the Super Regional because Virginia is the No.12 seed in that pairing. Other teams in the Charlottesville Regional include Mississippi State, St. Johns, and Pennsylvania.

Arkansas and Southeast Missouri will play each other at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2024.

The game will be streamed on ESPN+
