SALINE COUNTY, Ark. — Update: As of 11:06 p.m., both the eastbound lanes and the westbound lanes of I-30 have now been cleared.
Traffic along both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-30 in Benton is currently blocked due to an accident in the area.
According to ARDOT officials, the accident was caused by an 18-wheeler that hit the median and knocked it offline.
No injuries have been reported in the incident. However, eastbound traffic is being diverted off the interstate toward Highway 229 at exit 114 and westbound traffic is being diverted at exit 116.
There is no estimated time on when repairs will be made just yet.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
