NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On Thursday, the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) announced a weekend lane closure for Interstate 30 (I-30) eastbound.
I-30 will be reduced to a single lane between Broadway Street and Interstate 40 (I-40) in North Little Rock from 10 p.m. on May 10 through 5 a.m. on May 13. ARDOT said the I-30 to I-40 ramps will have alternating closures as crews complete paving operations to widen I-30 eastbound to four lanes.
Once work is complete and pavement markings are applied, ARDOT said the I-30 eastbound ramp to I-40 eastbound will open to traffic, which is scheduled to occur Saturday morning.
Following this opening, the I-30 eastbound ramp to I-40 westbound will be closed until all work and pavement markings are complete.
Detours for alternating closures of ramps:
- When the I-30 east ramp to I-40 east is closed, I-30 traffic will take the JFK Boulevard exit (N Hwy. 107) to access I-40 east; See detour map NR 24-133-A.
- When the I-30 east ramp to I-40 west is closed, I-30 traffic will take I-40 eastbound and use the North Hills Boulevard ramp (Exit 154). During this time, the JFK Boulevard exit (N Hwy. 107) will also be closed from I-30 eastbound; See detour map NR 24-133-B.
