LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A taste of fall in time for the weekend!
The first real fall cold front is forecast to push through Arkansas during the day Friday, followed by cooler and drier air. This will set up a near-perfect weekend around Arkansas.
High temperatures in central Arkansas are expected to be in the lower to mid-80s. However, high temperatures may only reach the mid to upper 70s in northern Arkansas.
You’ll really feel the push of cool, less humid air during the early morning hours on Saturday and Sunday. Morning lows are forecast to bottom out in the 50s and 60s on Saturday morning and the 40s and 50s on Sunday morning.
We don’t typically see lower to mid-80-degree temperatures until the end of September, with average highs in the upper 80s during the first week of September.
Don’t get used to the cooler temperatures; readings are expected to return to the upper 80s and low 90s by mid-next week.
Enjoy this first little "taste" of fall!
