KINGSTON, Arkansas — The Discover Arkansas team headed to Whitaker Point, better known as Hawksbill Crag for the epitome of photo opportunities.

The drive to Hawksbill Crag is a beautiful drive through the mountains to the upper Buffalo River region of Arkansas.

The 1.5 mile hike (3 mile round trip) to the popular photography destination is considered a moderate hike which should involve proper planning. Adam met visitors from all over the country who traveled to Whitaker Point for the epic Instagram photo.

It is important to note there are no bathroom facilities nor any other modern conveniences for many miles.

Hawksbill Crag may be the most popular photo location in all of Arkansas, for good reason. The surrounding area is popular to visit for a look at the healthy heard of Arkansas Elk.

Adam had the opportunity to check out a small heard of elk, as well as a huge bald eagle, which is Discover Arkansas' photographer/side-kick, Theba Lolley.
