Morrilton K-9 officer Thor makes two big drugs busts in one week

K-9 Officer Thor has been on the Morrilton police force since August 2018.

On Tuesday, Jan. 21, Morrilton police officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. 

During the traffic stop, officers were assisted by the Morrilton K-9 unit. K-9 Thor alerted on the vehicle giving officers probable cause to search. 

Inside the vehicle, officers found 1.5 pounds of marijuana, 100 oxycodone pills that are coated in fentanyl, large amount of u.s currency and a loaded pistol. 

On 01/21/2020, Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traff... ic violation. During the traffic stop, Officers were assisted by the Morrilton K9 unit. K9 Thor alerted on the vehicle giving officers probable cause to search.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, Morrilton police and K-9 Thor apprehended a suspect at a local motel, who had felony warrants.

During the search of the suspect and the suspect's motel room, K-9 Thor was able to locate approximately 3.5 ounces of methamphetamine, 2 grams of marijuana, syringes, glass smoking device and a loaded .357 revolve

K-9 Officer Thor has been on the Morrilton police force since August 2018 and since then, he has proven himself to be a successful narcotic detector dog.
