BENTON, Ark. — On Thursday, January 25, officers with the Benton Police Department arrested a man for his involvement in a sex crime that was reported in the city.
According to police, 46-year-old Tim Steppach of Benton was charged with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.
Shortly after his initial arrest, the victims came forward with additional information and officials obtained an additional warrant for Steppach for the following charges: rape, residential burglary, false imprisonment, interference with emergency communications, assault, and an additional count of fourth-degree sexual assault.
According to reports, arrangements were made for Steppach to turn himself in, and he was taken into custody without incident.
