LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — 31-year-old Darrell Esau is wanted on multiple felony charges across central Arkansas.
Now, his family pleads for him to do the right thing and turn himself over to authorities.
Darrell's aunt, Erica Esau, said she helped raise him, and she's worried for his well-being.
After losing a child of her own, Erica Esau said she can't bear the thought of losing him as well. She wants him to do the right thing and get help.
"Regardless, he is my baby first and foremost," Erica Esau said. "I can only imagine what is going through his mind right now, but I need him to stop because if anything were to happen to him, it would break me."
Erica Esau said she doesn't know where her nephew is, but she just wanted him to be safe.
"Call me," Erica Esau said. "I will do everything I can to get you the mental health help you need, but you need to make the first step."
U.S. Marshals consider Darrell Esau armed and dangerous.
He has felony warrants in Sherwood, Little Rock and Pulaski County. Some of those are for battery first, which means he shot and injured someone.
Police describe him as 5'10 tall and about 160 pounds. If anyone sees him, U.S. Marshals said not to approach but to call 911.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Darrell Esau is asked to call the U.S. Marshals at (501) 324-6356. Calls can remain anonymous, and information will be kept confidential.
Authorities said anyone who aids him while he's evading police will be criminally charged.
