NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The North Little Rock Police Department has now arrested an armed and dangerous man who was wanted in connection to a fatal shooting that happened in August.
According to reports, just after 3:00 a.m. on August 29, 2024, officers were called to the 100 block of Riverfront Park Drive with reports that someone had been shot.
When they arrived, officers located two individuals suffering from at least one gunshot wound. One victim, an adult male, later identified as 31-year-old Jordan Brown of Jacksonville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim, an adult female, was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Since then, police arrested 20-year-old James Green of Jacksonville on a capital murder charge for his involvement in this incident. He is being held at the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center.
However, authorities were still looking for an additional suspect in this deadly shooting.
22-year-old Akashdeep Singh was wanted for capital murder and criminal attempt to commit murder.
On Monday, North Little Rock police announced that a monetary reward was being offered for information that led to his arrest.
On Tuesday, November 19, officers with the North Little Rock Police Department and members of the United States Marshals Service Eastern District Fugitive Task Force were able to find Singh at an apartment complex in Little Rock.
Singh is charged with one count of capital murder and one count of criminal attempt to commit capital murder.
He has been taken to the Pulaski County Regional Detention Center, where he is being held without bond. Singh is scheduled to be in the North Little Rock District Court at 9:00 a.m. on December 5, 2024.
