Over 12,000 left without power in Arkansas

As tropical depression Beryl has made its way through the United States, including parts of Arkansas, it has brought along strong storms and even power outages.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Update: As of 1:48 a.m. on July 9, there are currently 12,702 people without power in Arkansas.

As tropical depression Beryl has made its way through the United States, including parts of Arkansas, it has brought along strong winds and rains with it.

These storms have also caused several tornado warnings across the state and even a confirmed tornado. 

Due to the storms, thousands of people have lost power. The power outages are primarily in southern portions of the state mainly in Miller, Hempstead, Pike, Clark, Grant, and Arkansas Counties. 

As of nearly midnight on July 8, there are currently over 12,000 people without power in the states.

On Monday, THV11 meteorologists declared a Weather Impact Alert for Monday evening into Tuesday as Tropical Storm Beryl brought along heavy rain to parts of Arkansas.
