LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Election Day is here, and we have been preparing for the races across Arkansas and across the nation.
If you're heading to the polls on Tuesday, there are some things you should know before you cast your ballot.
On Monday, voting in Pulaski County showed long lines and wait times for voters. Throughout the day, the line wrapped around the Pulaski County Municipal building— but that didn't stop voters from making sure their voice was heard.
"It was really important for me to get here today even though it did take a little while," said Alexa Pearce.
Pearce, along with several others, endured wait times of up to an hour and a half to cast their ballot. Another voter, Logan Schilling, scrolled on his phone and researched the people he was voting on. He said an important issue to him was Issue 2.
"The casino one. It's important for counties to say no [if they] don't want that," said Schilling.
On Election Day, polls are open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. across the state.
If you are a voter in Pulaski County, you need to go to your designated polling precinct to vote.
You will need to have your ID with you, and you should also prepare for the weather in case it's raining.
"Get a raincoat, get a rain hat, or have an umbrella. Be prepared for the weather," advised Terri Hollingsworth, the Pulaski County Clerk.
