LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The 2024 election is officially over, so it's time to crunch some numbers and analyze voter turnout in Arkansas.

According to the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture, fewer Arkansans turned out to vote in 2024 than in 2020. However, an analysis of the Secretary of State's election records said Arkansas's turnout rate was on par with 2016.

Unofficial numbers show Saline County topped this year's election list with a 71.66% voter turnout, the state's highest mark, and only a few hundred more voters than in 2020. The county had a population of 123,416 in the 2020 Census.

Nevada County was the only county with fewer than 50% of voters turning out.

The Secretary of State's Office reported that 64.94% of Arkansas's 1,828,133 registered voters turned out for early voting and Election Day voting as of Nov. 7. That represents 1,187,243 ballots cast.
