Johnell Davis withdraws from 2024 NBA Draft, will play final season at Arkansas

Johnell Davis, who transferred from Florida Atlantic to Arkansas, will play his final season for the Razorbacks after withdrawing from the 2024 NBA Draft.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. โ€” Guard Johnell Davis is withdrawing from the 2024 NBA Draft to play his final college basketball season at Arkansas.

The Florida Atlantic transfer committed to the Razorbacks on April 30, but decided to go through the NBA draft process while maintaining collegiate eligibility.

According to On3Sports, Davis, 6-4 and 203 pounds, was the top transfer portal prospect available when head coach John Calipari landed the Gary, Ind., native.

Davis shared his decision on Instagram, posting a picture that said, "Here I come."

Davis spent four seasons at Florida Atlantic and is a veteran guard with Final Four experience. This past season, he averaged 18.2 points per game on 41% three-point shooting, 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists to earn co-American Athletic Conference Player of the Year.

Additionally, Davis, a fifth-year senior, has a career free throw percentage of 84.5%.

In 2023, Davis helped the Owls make the Final Four, a season in which he was also named the Conference USA Sixth Man of the Year.
